Ordering

Why do I need a hub if I am buying a sensor?

The Coldeye Hub is the brain of the operation, it handles all of the data transer both to the app and from the sensors to present to you as the end user. As such it is vital to all sensors to function, apart from those which will be labelled in the product description.

Can I cancel my order?

Cancelling your Coldeye order is not a problem. To do this, please get in touch with our customer service team at mail@coldeye.com and include your order number in the subject line. Refunds are usually processed within 5-10 working days.

Can I edit my order once it has been placed?

We try to be as accommodating as possible when it comes to changing your order. If you would like to change your delivery option or product selection, please get in touch with our customer service team as quickly as possible. Once marked as dispatched, changes to your order will no longer be possible. Remember to quote your order number in any correspondence.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit card providers including Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We can also take orders through PayPal, Shop, Google Pay and Apple Pay. We are working towards adding Klarna and other 'buy now, pay later' providers.

Who manufactures Coldeye products?

Coldeye products are made in Pershore, UK by TAD Electronics, a small company with vast experience in telemetry, electronics and electrical engineering. You can learn more about our founders and vision by visiting the ‘About Us’ page.

Shipping, Returns & Exchanges

We use Royal Mail for national deliveries, and local couriers for international. You’ll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout.

What is the shipping policy?

Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that our fulfillment team has received your order. Once your order is fulfilled, you will receive an email notification with your tracking information. Shipping fees are non-refundable in the case of returns.

Do you ship overseas?

At launch, we will only be shipping within the UK to tease out any teething issues. However, within a couple of months we plan on expanding to the EU, and to the rest of the world. Shipping costs will apply, and will be added at checkout.

What customer support do you offer?

Our UK-based customer service team are more than happy to assist you over the phone at 01386 800 420 or via email at mail@coldeye.com. Our phone lines are open within business operating hours, and we aim to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours. This support is open to both new and existing customers.

I have an issue with my order. How can I resolve this?

We’re sorry to hear that. Please contact our customer support team at mail@coldeye.com or 01386 800 420, and we will aim to resolve your issue as quickly as possible. Please remember to include your order number and a brief description of the issue in any correspondence.

I want to speak to somebody. When are your telephone lines open?

Our customer support team (01386 800 420) is open for inquiries during business hours. If no one is available or for out-of-hours inquiries, we will take your contact details (either phone number or email) and get back to you as quickly as possible. Setup

Can I set Coldeye up myself? How long does it take to set up Coldeye?

Coldeye is designed to be simple enough for users to install themselves. Installation times vary based on the products bought, but should take a matter of minutes. Our setup guide and app page are designed to assist you with this process, and our customer service team is always on hand to help if you encounter any issues

How many sensors can be installed?

The Coldeye is compatible with up to one hundred wireless sensors.

  • How often do the sensors take a measurement? 
  • How often is this data sent to my device?

Once installed, your Coldeye sensors will take measurements of their surroundings every few seconds, alerts are passed through our server to your mobile device as soon as detected, the general status is updated every 8 minutes.(To be confirmed)

How will I be notified if there is a change in my setup?

Coldeye will notify you via the Coldeye App if a sensor goes above or below your set thresholds. You will need to enable pop-up notifications for the app to supply these. These notifications will be recorded on the Coldeye App homepage and will also appear in your mobile device notifications tab.

App

Will the Coldeye App work with my mobile phone?

The Coldeye App is supported by software versions iOS 13 and above on iPhone, and API 21 (Lollipop) and above on Android. Ensure your mobile has these software versions installed before downloading the Coldeye App. To start collecting data from your connected Coldeye Hub and Sensors, simply download the Coldeye App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and follow the on-screen instructions.

How do I know if an app software update is needed?

App software updates will be announced on the App Store and Google Play. Keeping your Coldeye App updated is highly recommended, and allows us to provide the best experience possible.

Will I still receive push notifications if I log out of the Coldeye App?

To receive notifications from the Coldeye App, you need to remain logged in.
